Delivery policy

Age Disclaimer and General Shipping Information

You must be 21 years of age to order or receive alcoholic beverages from Cask. Any shipments containing alcoholic beverages are sent with an "Adult Signature Required" sticker, and the common carrier that delivers our beverage is required to ask and check for identification upon delivery. This requires that you will have to be available to sign at the time of delivery.

Shipping Charges

Our shipping charges vary by destination, type of items being shipping, and total number of items being shipped. This information is available before the completion of the checkout process.

Shipping charges will not be refunded in the event that the product was unable to be delivered to the customer-provided address, if there was no person 21+ to sign, the product is returned after multiple failed delivery attempts, failure of the customer to pick up the product, or for any other reason for failed delivery that is the within the control of the customer and beyond the control of Cask Store.

Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges

We take pride in our reputation as purveyors of the finest quality products and service. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with a purchase, we will do our best within the legal limits to assist you in an exchange. California ABC prohibits returns of alcoholic products unless spoiled or otherwise unfit for human consumption. This means you cannot return a product if you purchased too many, if you don't like it, or for any other reason other than those listed above. If a package is visibly damaged upon receipt, you may refuse delivery. Once you have accepted delivery of your order, please contact Customer Service at (415) 424-4844 or via email at customerservice@caskstore.com before returning any merchandise.

Cask charges a 3-4% restocking fee on returns and refunds due to unrecoverable merchant charges.

Shipping and Delivery Estimates

Online orders take approximately 1-2 business days for processing plus the shipping/delivery time. We ship Monday through Friday excluding holidays. Items that aren't immediately available in our San Francisco shipping area will be transferred there every Thursday for fulfillment. If you need same day or expedited service, please call us at (415) 424-4844. If you order for store pickup, your order will be available for pickup within 2 hours, or when the store you've chosen is open next. Store pickup orders take a few hours to process. If it is imperative that you receive expedited service by a definite time, please call us at 415-424-4844.

Shipping to APO, FPO and PO Boxes

Currently we do not ship to APO, FPO, or PO boxes. We cannot ship to a UPS store.

Shipping Spirits & Beer: Approved States

Please be advised and consider this fair warning that orders on our web site will only be accepted when the shipping address is within the state of California. It is unambiguously illegal for us or any retailer to ship spirits or beer across state lines.

The website gives fair warning in several places that we cannot ship outside the state of California by law, it also automatically prohibits the selection of any shipping state other than California, this is to prevent any customer from accidentally purchasing an item that they will be unable to receive. If you attempt to bypass these protections and force the sale to proceed by incorrectly selecting California as your shipping state despite knowing the product needs to be shipped to another state, or proceed by selecting in-store pickup knowing that you will be unable to pick up at our San Francisco or Berkeley stores, and then request that we ship to another state or request a refund, we will need to charge a 3-4% restocking fee to recover the lost merchant fees that we cannot recover from our credit card processor.


We must charge San Francisco sales tax on all merchandise and shipping costs, even if the billing address is in another state.
